2000 Micropolis – Cité des Insectes

Description
International Centre dedicated to insects When the producer (and actor) Jacques Perrin finishes " Microcosmos " nearly entirely shot north of Rodez, in Aveyron, he had the idea of proposing to the Conseil Général to make this beautiful adventure durable by creating at the birth place of the famous French entomologist Jean Henri Fabvre, in Saint-Léons, an International Insect Centre. Following the president, Jean Puech, all the Conseil Général reponds to this idea with enthusiasm. Architect Bruno Decaris and François Confino win the competition destined to choose a joint project of architecture, scenography and museography. In a particularly audacious architecture nearly anthropomorphic, they developed an original and surprising scenario, very complex and fascinating, bringing us closer to nature.
